Inside the four walls, the ET50/ET55's support of 802.11a/b/g/n ensures compatibility with an existing WLAN. With 4G LTE support, the ET50/ET55 gives workers anywhere in the world a robust wireless connection on the world's fastest cellular networks.

First time, every time instant capture of virtually any type of data
No matter what type of data customers need to capture now or in the future, the ET50/ET55 is ready. The integrated 8MP rear camera is designed for occasional capture of bar codes and images, while the 2MP front camera is ideal for video calls. Optional advanced imaging engines* can be added to capture any 1D or 2D bar code, farther and faster—whether printed on paper or displayed on the screen of a mobile phone and regardless of being damaged, scratched or poorly printed. Advanced document capture technology makes it easier than ever to turn paper records into electronic documents, saving time and reducing errors.

Resets the bar for tablet power efficiency
The ET50/ET55 offers extraordinary power efficiency. Not only is the quad core processor highly energy efficient, the LPDDR3 RAM memory technology cuts memory power consumption in half—without impacting memory bandwidth or performance. As a result, the ET50/ET55 uses just two watts for normal usage, compared to six watts needed by competitive processors in the same class and 15 watts for processors found in fully rugged enterprise tablets. With the ability to add a hot-swappable backup battery* that can provide additional power and charge the tablet's main battery, users will never need to run out of power during a shift.

Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance™ allows the display to better survive real world events that most commonly cause glass failure. IP65 sealing provides a dust-tight design that can handle a hose-down at full force from any direction. While this tablet is built to handle a drop from 3.2 ft/1 m, users can nearly double the drop specification with Zebra's rugged frame.
